The Cochrane Neurological SciencesField was based officially registered in 2000. Until 2007 the Field was located in Milan  under the direction of Livia Candelise. In January 2007 the Field moved to Perugia, Italy, under the direction of Teresa Cantisani.  The Region of Umbria Health Authority offers logistical and financial support to the Field.
